was organized on 28th and 29th December 2022 at SSMKVK Sagaroli in association with Sanskriti Sankursan Mandal and United States Council General Mumbai. It was learned that crop residue burning affects human health, land and nature. In our area, especially sugarcane, rice and cotton crop residues are burnt in large quantities. It is possible for farmers to produce organic manure by properly decomposing the residue in the field without burning it. Krishibhushan Shivram Ghodke, Shri Vijay Mehtre, Shri Nagesh Yamewar, Prof. Kapil Ingle, Prof. Venkat Shinde guided the participating farmers. The training program demonstrated the production of high-quality vermicompost, compost from crop residues. Krishi Vigyan Kendra was established in Sagroli in Oct 2011 under the aegis of Sanskriti Samvardhan Mandal (SSM). It covers 8 blocks of Nanded district, viz. Biloli, Dharmabad, Umari, Naigaon, Kandhar, Mukhed, Loha and Degloor. The Krishi Vigyan Kendra (Farm Science Centre) an innovative science-based institution established to accelerate agricultural production and also to improve the socio-economic conditions of the farming community of the Nanded district. KVK was designed to impart the latest knowledge to the farmers through work experiences by applying the principles of “Teaching by Doing and Learning by Doing”.
