 A two-day training session on 

"Effects of Crop Residue Burning" 

was organized on 28th and 29th December 2022 at SSMKVK Sagaroli in association with Sanskriti Sankursan Mandal and United States Council General Mumbai. It was learned that crop residue burning affects human health, land and nature. In our area, especially sugarcane, rice and cotton crop residues are burnt in large quantities. It is possible for farmers to produce organic manure by properly decomposing the residue in the field without burning it. Krishibhushan Shivram Ghodke, Shri Vijay Mehtre, Shri Nagesh Yamewar, Prof. Kapil Ingle, Prof. Venkat Shinde guided the participating farmers. The training program demonstrated the production of high-quality vermicompost, compost from crop residues.
